Hive Pass
The Hive Pass is a discounted UTA transit pass available to all Salt Lake City residents with the goal of making transit more affordable and accessible. Your home address must be within Salt Lake City boundaries to be eligible for a Hive Pass.
The pass costs $42.00 per month, a 75% discount from a regular monthly UTA pass. You may pre-purchase for an entire year for $475. That’s an additional $29 discount!
You can use the Hive Pass on UTA local bus service, TRAX, the S-Line streetcar, UTA On Demand, and FrontRunner. Hive Passes also include a free one-year GREENbike membership!

Medicaid
Medicaid recipients may be eligible for non-emergency medical transportation including bus passes, personal transportation reimbursement, Flex Trans, and ModivvCare Medical Transport for door-to-door services. Transportation to non-Medicaid providers or to receive non-Medicaid covered services, is not covered.

Transportation for those with Traditional Medicaid who qualify. Can use Paratransit, FlexTrans, Dial-A-Ride, ModivCare Services.

On Demand Service in Certain Zone
In 2022, Utah Transit introduced an app-based service that will pick people up close to home and drop them off close to their destination by combining a few riders into a single van. The trip must begin and end within a designated zone. Currently these zones are:
- South Valley (Herriman, Daybreak, South Jordan, Riverton, Bluffdale and Draper)
- Salt Lake City Westside (Rose Park, Fairpark, Poplar Grove and Glendale)
- Tooele County (Grantsville, Stansbury Park, Erda and Tooele City)
- South Davis County (Centerville South to the County Line)
People who can’t use the app can also call to schedule rides.

Ride United
Ride United offers free Lyft rides to help access work, healthcare, healthy food, benefits, etc. Immediate transportation may be available, but advanced notice is preferred.

Service for people with physical, cognitive or visual disabilities who are unable to independently use the UTA fixed bus service either all of the time, temporarily or under certain circumstances.

A combination of fixed route accessible and curb-to-curb demand responsive transportation for eligible persons whose disability prevents them from functionally using the regular system and a recently announced “on-demand” feature within certain zones.
